What to Expect

Brief Paperwork

Upon entering the office, we have some brief paperwork for you to fill out. The paperwork provides us with general information about yourself and your condition. Please feel free to ask our front desk for assistance if you are having any trouble filling these forms out. As a new patient, we give you the option to print and fill out our New Patient forms ahead of time at your convenience and present them to our front desk when you arrive. This also includes paperwork for WCB injury or SGI injury.

Consultation

Once the paperwork has been completed, you will have a consultation with the doctor to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, as well as potential treatment options.

History and Examination

In order to determine what your actual problem is, the doctor will ask you various questions related to your condition. Next, a number of specialized tests will be performed to determine which tissues are affected and to what extent.

X-ray Studies

Your specific condition may require us to take x-rays to either rule out more serious conditions or assist us in developing the most effective treatment plan for you.

Same Day Treatment

Once finished with the examination and all appropriate studies, patients will generally be provided with their first treatment during this same visit.

Home Instructions

Prior to leaving, patients will be given instructions on certain activities or procedures to be conducted at home. This may include ice or heat application instructions, avoidance of certain activities or positions, as well as home exercises and/or stretches.

Schedule Your Next Appointment

You will be given a convenient appointment time for your follow-up visit. Generally speaking, patients are seen within 1-2 days and are provided with a complete review of findings. Treatment options for your condition will also be discussed during this time.

New Mask Policy for Massage
On the advice of the Massage Therapy Association of Saskatchewan (MTAS) and Natural Health Practitioners of Canada (NHPC), Foundation Chiropractic is adopting a clinic policy that all massage therapists and massage clients must wear medical/procedure/surgical masks from a medical device distributor that is approved by Health Canada
(https://www.canada.ca/en/health-canada/services/drugs-health-products/covid19-industry/medical-devices/authorized/other.html).
Since massage therapists and their clients come into close contact for a prolonged period it is not possible to maintain the recommended two meters of physical distance during treatments. Since we are working in such close quarters, we are doing everything we can to ensure the safety and health of ourselves and our clients. We ask for your help by wearing only approved medical masks to your appointment.
If cloth masks must be used, they should have at least three layers and fit well. Neck gaiter/cuff/bandana style face coverings will NOT be allowed in the clinic.
Starting Monday March 22, 2021 if you do not have a suitable mask with you when you arrive for your appointment, you will be required to purchase one from the clinic for $1.
We thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we adapt our policies to create the safest possible environment for your staff and clients.
